Macular edema is a condition where fluid leaks from tiny blood vessels and builds up in the central part of the retina. the area swells and thickens, causing blurred or distorted central vision.
Treatment
The goal of treatment is to stop leakage and reduce swelling in the macula. Options may include:

- Laser therapy: Seals leaking blood vessels and reduces fluid buildup.
